c1940 tied thread linen tablecloth & napkins

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 What a gorgeous linen tablecloth set this one is!  Measuring about 45" square, it is a soft off-white color with 6 matching napkins. Motif includes pulled thread floral baskets in four locations around center circle (as if they were in each corner) and elaborate pulled scrolls between with embroidered for added interest. Napkins have matching embroidery and pulled thread leaves. Mint with no worn through areas and no apparent break in threads. Small light yellow stains in a couple of areas on tablecloth and a couple of napkins.

Antique pink McCoy Art Deco wall pocket

  

                       

  

This beautifully colored and styled wall pocket is an unmarked McCoy Hull item dating back to the 1930s or earlier. Made with a soft rose wash over cream background, its color almost gives it an antiqued appearance.

Marked on the back with "Made in U.S.A., 464". 

Pattern resembles heavy drapes gathered and hung from the theater balconies.....a classic Art Deco style.

Pocket measures approx. 6 1/4" vertically x 2 7/8" in diameter at the top. 

In pristine condition with good color, no nicks, chips or repairs. Hole at the back shows no signs of damage.

Mahogany framed shaving mirror

 

This absolutely beautiful old mirror was designed for the gentleman of the house. 

Made to hold his shaving soap, brush, straight edge and shaving cup, it is just the right size for close up work. 

Measures approx. 15 1/2" Long x 11 1/2" high outside frame to outside frrame.

Glass is good with no nicks or cracks and very little clouding. Frame is tight with good corner joints and no breaks or repairs. Frame has good color and deep luster.

A very, very nice old mirror with beautiful color and style.....ideal to hang or display on a cabinet!

2 pcs McCoy Brown Glazed Pottery Milk Bowls

 

 

 

 

 

 

   

  

These great old McCoy milk bowls (larger one has original lid )date to the 1930s and are made of yellow clay similar to crockery. Larger bowl is  incised on the bottom with "U.S.A., 9 IN" (hand written into the clay).  Smaller one is marked "U.S.A." incised on bottom

Both are in very good condition.  The lid has 1 small nick on the edge of the handle. There are several manufacturer's flaws in the glaze but no cracks, nicks or chips in other parts of the bowls or lid. 

These guys have excellent luster to the glaze and is begging to be displayed with someone's yellow ware or McCoy collection!
