Kanawha Glass Amberina syrup pitcher

   

  This hand blown Amberina syrup pitcher was made by Kanawha Glass circa 1960s (prior to the advent of their Amerina crackle glass). The amber color of itss applied handle matches the body.  The folded top (deep red in color) was shaped in a manner that creates the spout and base for upper part of the handle.  Pointile is polished. 

  

  

In pristine condition with no nicks, chips, or repairs. Handle is securely attached and it has high luster.

What beautiful lines this blown glass vase has!  Made with a deep purple background, it has ribbon glass interspersed throughout and folded sides. Pedestal style foot is blown rather than applied and has a polished pointille.

 Victorian Pressed Glass Beverage with Metal Carrier

  

 Rare, unusual and just plain fun! This EAPG beverage (typically used for beer) with its metal carrier dates back to Victorian days. 

The glass removes from its metal holder for cleaning. The metal portions holding the glass are tension loaded, holding the glass securely in place. 

Glass is beautifully pressed with a decorative upper border, faceted body and footed base. 

Overall the entire piece measures 41/2" tall.  

Both beverage and the metal frame are in pristine condition with no chips or cracks and no fatiguing in the metal.

 So delicate--only 2 1/4" in diameter x 1 1/4" high and eggshell thin--this lovely old moriage cup was made in the orient circa 1930s.

White base color with a orange background, it includes randomly spaced, hand painted pastel flowers set in relieved areas. Gold trim on handle & edges. No nicks or chips, some fading in orange. In original silk covered box.

 Schneider pink art glass bowl

  

 Outstanding and pristine Schneider art glass bowl c.1925. 

This beauty has a delicate ruffled edge and is exquisite interclary bubble glass. Base is clear with pink shading that darkens as it goes toward the bowl's upper edge.

Measures 5 1/2" high x 6 7/8" in diameter at the top, it is featured in the Manoni reference book. 

We have checked it thoroughly under a loupe and see no fleabites, chips, cracks, crazing or fading in color. Truly a work of art!

Shawnee divided console dish

This old beauty dates back to the 1950s and was made by Shawnee. Intended to be used as a divided console dish, it is a soft cream color with its original handle in the center. Shaped like modernistic leaves, it is in outstanding condition with no cracks, nicks or fleabites. Light crazing in outer glaze. 

Measures approx. 16" across from widest point to widest point.

 This beautiful old caramel colored carnival glass is a covered candy dish.  

Made in the Wedding Bells Pattern, it stands about 6 1/2" in overall height. The candy dish portion is about 3 1/2" square. 

 The iridescence in this piece is exquisite with shading from caramel to teal green, fuscia, yellow and blue. The glass itself has an excellent luster with a bright finish. 

It's in near perfect condition with no nicks, chips or fleabites on the body or lid.

Koyoto Japan hand painted beer stein

 

Made and hand painted in Japan shortly after WWII.  This beer stein has the original backstamp clearly visible indicating it was made in Koyoto circa 1940s. 

Scene on front depicts a couple in a merchant's shop. Could be a cobbler or shoe maker....we can't be certain.

 Measuring approx. 6 3/4" in overll height, it has great luster (crazing in outer glaze is evident) and color. 

There are no nicks, chips, cracks or fleabites and no repairs. 

This is a very nice example of early Japanese pottery done in a European style.

This came to us from a local estate. Marked on the back as having been made by Tanuki Ware while Japan was occupied. 

Oval in shape, it has the blue lotus blossom design on a white background typical of fine Japanese porcelain. The bowl's shape is that of a stylized butterfly.

Measures approx. 7 1/4" in overall length x 5 3/8" across x 3" in height. 

In beautiful condition with good luster and no utensil marks. No nicks, chips, fleabites or repairs. Truly an exceptional piece of procelain from occupied Japan.

These pretty old dishes have rarely been used. In the shape of maple leaves, one is divided into 3 sections and one is open. 

Both measure approx. 6 1/2" x 7" (not counting stems) and both have excellent "like new" luster to the glass with no nicks, chips, fleabites or cracks. 

A favorite from the 50s, these make great cache pots for dressers or to use during more formal dinners.

Royal Bayreuth Rose Tapestry cache pot

 

 

This little beauty bears the Roay Bayreuth backstamp and is a cache pot measuring 4' in diameter x 2 3/4" in overall height. It bears hand painted flowers in the Rose Tapestry pattern on the bowl exterior and gold on each of the three legs. 

In good condition with one tiny nick on the outside edge of the top rim. Color and pattern on bowl are excellent as is gold on legs.

Mikasa fruit compote with Peacock design

  

 Such a beautiful old piece! Mikasa's eloquent fruit compote with their peacock design is West German made and measures approximate.y 14" L x 6 1/2W x 3 1/2" H.  The peacocks and flowers are both raised relief and etched for added style. 

In amazing condition with little or no sign of use--no fleabites, nicks,chips or wear it is absolutely gorgeous with great lines and style.
